Customs & documents (CZ → RU)

Moving personal belongings from the Czech Republic into Russia may involve customs formalities. For non-commercial personal effects, customs typically expects basic paperwork confirming private use. We usually request an itemised inventory per box with declared values, a copy of passport/ID, and where relevant proof of relocation or residence in Russia. Rules can change; this guidance is not legal advice.

Personal effects: Prepare a box-by-box list with short descriptions and approximate EUR values, plus ID/passport copy. Please avoid sending passports, cash, high-value jewellery or hazardous materials in standard road groupage.
Commercial items (if any): A commercial or proforma invoice is normally required. It should include shipper and consignee details, item descriptions, quantities and declared values (EUR). Customs may use this to classify the shipment.

FAQ — Czech Republic → Russia

Can I send only suitcases as unaccompanied baggage?
Yes. You can send luggage to Russia as excess baggage even if you are not travelling with it. We collect the suitcases in the Czech Republic, label them, and deliver door-to-door in Russia.
Weight limit per box?
For safe manual handling and smoother insurance, we advise keeping each carton around ≤30 kg. Anything heavier should go on a pallet so it can be moved by trolley or forklift.
Fastest option?
A dedicated van (FTL) is the fastest service. The van carries only your load and drives straight to Russia after pickup and customs release. Typical arrival window is roughly 48–72 hours.
Insurance available?
Yes. Optional all-risk cover can be arranged for shipping boxes to Russia, sending personal belongings and luggage/excess baggage. Tell us your replacement values so we can quote coverage.
Do you need lift access or parking?
Easy access helps control cost. If there is no lift, long carry, basement storage, restricted parking or remote-area delivery in Russia, please tell us in advance so we can plan manpower/permits.
