How long will my move take?

Groupage (shared load) usually 3–8 days EU-wide; dedicated van/truck often 2–5 days depending on distance and ferries. Dates for groupage can be flexible vs. fixed windows for dedicated service.

What impacts the price the most?

Volume (m³), floors/lift, walking distance, access (narrow streets/permits), packing level, urgency (groupage vs. dedicated), ferries/tolls (Alps, islands).

Do I need customs paperwork for EU ⇄ UK?

Yes. After Brexit, customs declarations and sometimes security/safety data are required in both directions. We prepare and file these with you.

What about moving to Switzerland?

Relocation goods can be cleared at a customs office for commercial goods during opening hours. You’ll need an inventory and supporting documents; some posts accept pre-checks.

And moving to Norway?

Household goods for personal use can be imported duty/VAT-free when you’re relocating, typically within 12 months of moving; you’ll submit the required customs form.

What is ToR (Transfer of Residence) relief?

For some EU entries (and UK), ToR lets you bring personal belongings without paying VAT/duties if you’ve owned them >6 months, are relocating, and apply within 12 months.

Which items are prohibited or restricted?

Explosives, fuel, gas cylinders, many chemicals, some batteries and other dangerous goods cannot travel in standard shipments. Tell us about any special items in advance.

Is packing included? What levels do you offer?

Three options: No packing (you pack), Partial (fragile/complex), Full service (we do all). Export-grade materials, ISPM-15 crates for fragile/valuable items.

How do access issues affect the job?

Long carries, stair-only access, low bridges, ZTL/city restrictions or lack of permits may require shuttle vans, extra crew or time windows—please share photos/videos.

Can you move on weekends or late evenings?

Yes, subject to local rules and building policies. Weekend/evening slots may carry a surcharge and require booking in advance.

Do you offer storage if my new place isn’t ready?

Short-term storage is available EU-wide. We can split deliveries and deliver by rooms or stages.

How does insurance work?

Standard liability is limited; for full coverage, we recommend all-risk moving insurance based on declared value. Photos and itemized lists help underwriting/claims.

What if there’s a delay?

We update ETAs proactively. Weather, ferries, strikes or borders may impact transit. Dedicated service minimizes dependencies; groupage depends on multiple loads.

How do claims work if something is damaged?

Report within the stated window, keep packing materials, take photos, list serial numbers/values. We assist with documentation for quick resolution.

Can you handle offices and special items (pianos/art)?

Yes. We provide specialist crews, crating, shock/moisture protection and timed building slots. Tell us the weights/sizes early so we plan access/permits.
